New England Patriots Tickets

Well that was easy. The long awaited return to the football field for the New England Patriots was practically a party for the team and their fans.

The night started out with the Patriots receiving their Super Bowl rings, unfurling another championship banner (their sixth overall) and a visit from an old friend, tight end Rob Gronkowski.

After that, the game was just as enjoyable as the pregame ceremonies. The Patriots routed the Pittsburgh Steelers 33-3 in a game that was hard to watch for everyone except for Patriots fans in attendance and across the country.

In all facets of the game, the Patriots were dominant. Tom Brady and the offense had an efficient night. They quickly ran up the score to 20-0 at halftime and completely deflated the Pittsburgh Steelers. With touchdown passes to Josh Gordon and Phillip Dorsett the Patriots jumped out to a comfortable lead.

Tom Brady added a 58-yard strike to Phillip Dorsett again in the second half that increased their lead to 27-3 and effectively ended the game.

The New England Patriots defense played just as impressively after nearly shutting out the Steelers. After mounting a few drives here and there, the Steelers were halted when it mattered most. Still trailing 20-0 at the beginning of the third quarter, the Steelers marched all the way down to the New England 1-yard line. However, after questionable play calling the Steelers settled for a field goal and missed their opportunity to make this a ball game. The Pats also came up with a late turnover and only surrendered 32 rushing yards the entire game to add to the misery of the Steelers.

The New England Patriots proved that even without Gronk their offense can be extremely high-powered. Oh, and by the way, after a whirlwind weekend for Antonio Brown, he will join the Patriots after being released from the Raiders. This addition makes the New England Patriots that much scarier. Good luck to the Miami Dolphins, the Patriots’ Week 2 opponent. Last time the Pats played in Miami, the “Miami Miracle” took place. The Pats might have revenge on their minds this time around.
