Taylor Swift is already an icon in music at 29-years-old. Her successful career started off at a young age in country music, but eventually she set her sights on taking over the pop genre. With albums that have sold millions and gone platinum, her music is fun and inspiring with many of the songs leaning heavily into exploring her own personal life and relationships.

With that being said, anytime a new Taylor Swift album comes out there are sure to be many hits on it with everyone who loves her singing along to her tunes. Her latest album, Lover, just came out on August 23. Let’s look at the rise of this intelligent pop princess, her latest album, and some very special concert performances she has on the horizon.

Taylor Swift Hits

Taylor burst onto the music scene by coming out of Nashville at the tender age of 14-years-old. Her first album, titled after her name, had the hit song, “Our Song.” She followed that album up with one called “Fearless,” which had hits like “Love Story,” “White Horse,” and “You Belong to Me.” Taylor often sings about her romantic entanglements, good and bad. We’re looking at you John Mayer and Jake Gyllenhaal!

With seven albums to her credit, she’s sold over 50 million of them with a record number of hits. Some of her best songs include, “Trouble,” “Blank Space,” “We Are Never Getting Back Together,” “Shake it Off,” and “Look What You Made Me Do.”

Lover Album Review

Lover is already heating up the charts. Her first hit from this album, “ME!” featured fellow pop star, Brendon Urie of Panic! At the Disco fame in this catchy duet. After that she took a turn to a more politically charged song with “You Need to Calm Down.” An anthem that promotes anti-hate. She also bonded with Katy Perry in the video, dressed up like a hamburger and ketchup hugging, to promote the fact that they made up after years of feuding.

The title track from the album, “Lover” might be her most romantic song yet. In this song, it’s clear she is talking about her romance with boyfriend and actor, Joe Alwyn. They have reportedly been dating since September 2016. The song even seems to reference their anniversary of September 28. Very cute.

Exclusive Dates for Lover Fest

Her concerts are legendary with tours that have grossed millions of dollars over the years with tours like the Red Tour, the 1989 World Tour, and her last one which was the Reputation Stadium Tour. In 2020, it’s clear she will promote her latest album with Lover Fest.

She hasn’t announced all the dates for Lover Fest quite yet, but there are 12 so far. One of those will be at SoFi Stadium in California on July 25, 2020 for two performances. She is going to be the first artist to perform at this brand-new stadium, which is the home of the NFL teams, the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers. The other stadium she will perform at is Gillette Stadium on July 31, 2020 for two days in Foxborough, MA. This stadium is the home of the New England Patriots.

Before coming back to America, she has a series of shows overseas starting in Brazil, and going to places like Norway, Germany, Denmark, France, Poland, and Portugal.

If you can catch one of these shows internationally or here in America, you’ll be treated to what Taylor Swift called in an interview different from other shows. She describes the album as “open fields, sunsets, and summer” and clearly wants the vibe of Lover Fest to feel that way.
