It’s that time of year again, folks. You’ve been crammed up indoors, surviving the harsh winter. The dormant summer version of you is starting to wake up to the glorious sounds of warm weather fun soon. The snowstorms are over (right?), and though it may seem far, music festival season is right around the corner.
Nowadays, everybody and their mother are organizing what they deem to be the greatest festival of the season. Festival culture is now a very competitive industry, seeing hundreds of these events every year. I mean, how are you supposed to choose which Electronic/Hip-Hop/Indie conglomerate out of the hundreds that exist to attend??
Luckily, our team here at TicketNetwork is happy to get their two cents in about what festivals are worth your time this year. Take a look at the top 8 musical festivals you need to be at!
We know what you’re thinking. “OF COURSE Coachella is the first one they choose”. Guys, there’s a reason Coachella has become the iconic top-dog festival it is today. Their lineup is always the best of the best in music. They even managed to get Frank Ocean out of the house!

Date and Place: April 10-12, 17-19, Indio, CA
Whether you’re a “Roo-Kie” or a “Roo-Vet”, one thing is for certain. Bonnaroo isn’t a festival; it’s a way of life. What was once a festival focused on jam rock and folk, Bonnaroo has expanded into a genre fluid exposition with a little something for everyone.
Headliners: Tool, Lizzo, Tame Impala, Grand Ole Opry
Date and Place: June 11-14, Manchester, TN
Austin City Limits
Austin City Limits Music Festival has changed and expanded parallel to the growth of the city itself. Because of this, many attendees hold a special loyalty to ACL and have witnessed its blossoming since the very beginning.

Date and Place: October 2-4, 9-11, Zilker Nature Preserve, Austin, TX
BottleRock Napa Valley
It is clear that the folks at BottleRock Napa Valley invest most of their profits back into the festival for the next year. It’s desire to improve year after year is what makes BottleRock stand out. Being in the heart of wine country, you can count on there being some amazing food and drink choices too!
Headliners: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Matthews Band, Stevie Nicks

Governor’s Ball is an awesome event for the Northeastern festival goers out there. I have personally been to Gov Ball 3 years in a row, and I have no complaints at all. Their ability to turn Randall’s Island into a world of all different music, food, and activities is beyond me.
Headliners: Tame Impala, Flume, Missy Elliott
Date and Place: June 5-7, Randall’s Island Park, New York City
Flower crowns are traded in for cowboy hats just one weekend after Coachella. Just like it’s sister festival, Stagecoach features the hottest and most trending artists in Country music. Reports of great people, energy, and music year after year. Just don’t forget your sunscreen!
