October begins tomorrow and you know what that means. That’s right, it’s time for another live events preview! This time our preview comes complete with a snazzy new graphic.
October is famous for hosting the final days of Germany’s Oktoberfest (it ends on the 3rd), Columbus Day on October 10th, and Halloween on the 31st, but so much more is observed during the month! Did you know that it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Adopt a Shelter Dog Month? Both are important causes. Or did you know that October 3 is Virus Appreciation Day? I’m not exactly sure how I’m supposed to appreciate viruses. Maybe I can acknowledge that’s it’s just about the start of the flu season and prepare for it.
With autumn upon us, things will be a-changin’. The color of the leaves, the decorations on people’s homes, and the overall festive attitude as we get towards the end of the month. But one thing that won’t change is the fact that live events are still running! So let’s see what’s happening in October.
Sting: Sting is taking everything back to the basics and playing stripped down versions of his music on the Back to Bass tour, which begins on October 21. It will end in early December.
Guns N’ Roses: Axl Rose and the band are back on tour for the first time in five years! G N’ R will play their first concert in Orlando, FL, on October 28, and run through the end of November.
The Throne: Coming on the heels of the release of their wildly popular collaborative album, Watch The Throne, Jay-Z and Kanye West will begin touring together on October 28 in Atlanta, GA. The tour will run through mid-December.
